Location
BIOMEDICA is functioning in the city of Cluj-Napoca, which is geographically situated in the North-Western part of Romania, in the middle of the Transylvania region. The city is a big one and has a population of about 400.000 inhabitants. It is a remarkable university center an has a strong industrial platform. The Biomedica medical center is settled in a beautiful villa surrounded by verdure, in the middle of the "Eremia Grig" district, one of the ten districts into which the city is divided. The center building is a villa built after the Second World War by a well-known professor from the "Medicine University" of Cluj-Napoca, Goia I.. The medical center is functioning at the ground floor of the building, which is now the property of doctor Ladaru Vasile.

Organization

The practice type is private. The offered specialties are: alergology, nutritional diseases, cardiology, homeopathy, internal medicine, laboratory, general medicine, neurology, psychiatry, rheumatology, endocrinology, gynecology and obstetrics, oto-rhino-laringology, pediatrics, balneology, urology. Thirty-four doctors, university professors, primary doctors and specialist doctors are working in these specialties. Each of them has a contract and is paid with a percent depending on the personal achievement and the quality of the medical services provided. They benefit of a weekly programmed, depending on their specialty and adresability.

Employees

Three medical assistants, a secretary, a nurse that covers 12 hours timetable daily. They take patients'datas, give medical relations, make programmers, do the secretariat work, take care of patients, they keep the place tidy.

Offered medical services

Alergology tests, pregnancy tests, electro-cauterization, family planning, tests for the pursuit of pregnancy and fetal sufferings, simple surgeon intervention to remove polyps, aerosols, sinus infiltration, pediatric care and medical consultation at residence, for adults and children, functional exploration, electro-cardio-graphy, ultra-sound investigation, pain therapy.

Equipment's

The reception-room is equipped with chairs, decorated with flowers, and paintings, and enriched with music. The medical employee who makes the reception has an adequate behavior, making establishing a warm contact with the patient. Each consulting -room has chairs, arm-chairs, examination, table wooden-furniture in natural colors, and floor coverings in matched colors.

Endowments

Each consulting-room is endowed with the minimum pieces of apparatus that are necessary for it's specialty, according to the Romanian's Health Minister orders. The endowment is difficult to realized because of the high prices.

Addressaiblity

The number of habitants to whom we offer our services is approximately 10.000 persons, socially unhomogeneously structured. During six months of functioning there were investigated, consulted and treated a number of 5,484 persons, from which 1,140 children.

Assurances

There are no Assurance Laws in Romania. The relationship with the Health Ministry Difficult or non-existent. Professional associations We are about to set up the Free Practicing Doctors.

Resources

Strictly private. The relationship whit the banks is difficult because of the high interests. There is no banking-programmed for health. The relationship with the cityhall-difficult or non-existent.

Requirements

The laboratory's endowment with performant automatic pieces of apparatus, low or medium class. The endowment with a performant ecograph, sectorial, 3,5-5,5 MHZ/7 Ecodoppler. The endowment of the family planning consulting-room with the required instrumentary and devices(equipment) investigation. The endowment of the neurology consulting-room with an electroencephalograph. The endowment with a computer.

Plants

The development of the family medicine. Extending the unit by buying the superior story of the building, setting up a private medical canter for man's health care taking. Setting up a small surgery room for the "One day surgery system". X-Ray- the extending of the laboratory. Setting up a computer network, with a medical programmed.
